We’re at a costal town and suddenly there’s a tsunami alert, and we all run, someone offers me a ride in their golf cart, but I say my siblings should get a ride instead as they can’t run as fast. We reach town and dart around the docks. I check my phone and hurricane luka is coming straight towards us. Me and my dad go to visit a friend who lives in a tall tower, then i leave, and chat with some friends while wandering around. We go to school, but some how are forced to go to “camp” which seems a lot like kidnapping. We arrive, and there’s a bunch of us, with a whole lot of different age groups, and get assigned dirty cold dorms which are really just one room tiny costal cottages, and then all meet out side on a concrete area, surrounded by a quarry on one side, ocean on the other and more buildings and concrete on the other, with a straggly forest on the final side. We are devided into groups to work on producing some mineral or something. Older kids to mine them, my age group to clean and polish them, the younger kids to sort them, and the little kids to run of jobs and carry things. I and the other girls are all sitting at a filthy fountain, cleaning them, our knees hurting from kneeling on concrete for so long. I check my wrists, because they feel weird, and on the underside of them, there’s something dark and wriggly under the skin, like a bunch of thin, smooth worms, or like a thick poison slowly creeping it’s way to the rest of my body. I get a splitting headache and start feeling nauseous. I’m fading, dying. Mala, one of the girls with me, notices, and sneaks me away to show her older sister,Amy, who’s on a break from mining. It turns out Amy and 3 friends had been planning to escape, and get help to rescue the rest of us. Mala convinces Amy and her friends(Nimo, Henry and Evie) to move up the escape plan to tonight, and take me with them. Amy and Nimo dress as guards, and take me out of the camp, into the forest, and Evie and Henry escape through a gap in the barbed wire fence and meet us. Evie and me swap clothes, and Amy and Nimo take her back to the compound, leaving Henry to look after me. I start feeling super faint, and almost pass out lying on those rocks next to the river. Henry sees my left wrist, which as a row of crosses cut into it as punishment, notice it’s infected, and starts rinsing it in the river. The pain actually causes me to faint. When I wake up, Amy, Evie and Nimo are back, and take turns carrying me, semi conscious, through the forest. I fall asleep again. Then I woke up. (Dream ends)
Dreams are highly subjective, and their meanings can vary greatly depending on personal experiences, feelings, and circumstances. However, I can offer some interpretations based on common themes and symbols present in your dream.
Natural Disasters (Tsunami and Hurricane): Natural disasters often symbolize overwhelming emotions or situations in your waking life. A tsunami can represent a tide of feelings you may be struggling to manage, possibly related to anxiety or fear of loss of control. The hurricane may symbolize chaos or a looming challenge you feel is imminent.
Concern for Family: Your choice to prioritize your siblings over yourself reflects a strong sense of responsibility and protection toward those you care about. This could represent real-life feelings of loyalty or a need to safeguard your loved ones, indicating that family ties and connections are significant to you.
Forced to Attend Camp: Being forced into a camp setting that feels like kidnapping may suggest feelings of being trapped or restricted in your life. You might feel obligated to participate in certain activities or social obligations that you don't want to be a part of. The diverse age groups can symbolize the different stages of life and the complexities that come with them.
Dirt and Filth: The dirty dorms and the filthy fountain indicate feelings of discomfort or unsanitary situations in your life. It may reflect an aspect of your life that feels unclean or unresolved, such as emotions, relationships, or environments.
Physical Symptoms (Dark, Wriggly Things under Skin): This imagery can symbolize feelings of being invaded or contaminated by negative emotions or experiences. The wriggly things might represent anxiety, guilt, or the sense that something is not quite right in your life.
Fainting and Vulnerability: Fainting suggests feeling overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control. This might indicate a sense of powerlessness in waking life or that you are pushing yourself too hard.
Escape and Friendship: The theme of escape has a strong presence, indicating a desire for freedom from your current situation or the need to break away from constraints. Your friends banding together to help you escape points to the importance of support and camaraderie in overcoming challenges.
Infection and Punishment: The crosses cut into your wrist could symbolize the pain and burdens you carry, perhaps reflecting guilt or past mistakes. The act of rinsing your wrist in the river suggests a desire for healing or cleansing.
Overall, this dream may reflect feelings of being overwhelmed, the desire for freedom, and the need to support or protect loved ones. It could also suggest the importance of seeking help, relying on friendships, and recognizing the need for healing from emotional pain or stress.
